OMAHA, Neb. – ArborSystems celebrates Earth Day, April 22, and recognizes its 10th anniversary of successful emerald ash borer treatments using the Wedgle Direct-Inject Tree Treatment System and Pointer insecticide.
"Earth Day is dedicated to the appreciation of earth’s environment and ties into our commitment to tree friendly products," said Chip Doolittle, president of ArborSystems. "Just as arborists and tree care professionals are dedicated to keeping trees healthy and thriving, we designed the Wedgle to be a quick, no-drill tree trunk injection unit with virtually no environmental exposure associated with spraying, soil injections or drenching."
The Wedgle and Pointer insecticide have been credited with saving thousands of Ash trees from Emerald Ash Borer, both preventatively and curatively, since 2002 in arboretums, cities and homes. The survival and recovery of Ash trees is documented by Michigan State University.
"We have had 10 years of continuous successful treatments keeping ash trees alive, even Michigan, which is considered ground zero for the EAB fight," said Doolittle. "EAB is still spreading but you can protect your favorite trees and keep them alive and healthy."
ArborSystems provides a variety of tree injection systems and insecticides, fungicides, nutrients and tree growth regulators designed to meet a broad range of tree care needs. All of the Wedgle’s hardware components are made in the United States.
